History of the Ride

In 2011, shortly after Sgt Dulle's death, Richard “Gunny” Diefendorfer approached Powder Keg Harley-Davidson about doing a memorial ride in Brian's memory.  The dealership asked Frank Fuller, HOG Chapter director at the time to help out. It was decided it would be best for the chapter to take the lead, and Frank has been ride coordinator from the beginning.  The Iron Shields were asked to be a co-sponsor in 2013.  Corey Herren has served as the Iron Shield ride coordinator.

Over the last 5 years Powder Keg HOG Chapter along with the Iron Shields have conducted safe, organized, law enforcement escorted rides.  The ride has grown from 200 motorcycles and 250 participants to over 350 motorcycles and 500 participants in 2016.  From its inception in 2011, the Deputy Sheriff Brian Dulle Memorial Motorcycle Ride has been “making a difference” in people’s lives.  Over the last six years, with the support of sponsors and participants, the ride has raised over $70,000 to fight childhood cancer and support families dealing with a tragic event.

The date for the 2018 Dulle Memorial Ride, “Making A difference” has been confirmed. This year’s ride will take place on Saturday, July 21st, with a rain date of Sunday, July 22nd. Please check back on a regular basis for further updates!
